This is the public log of site improvements and feature work across Flying Goose Studios, like new systems, redesigns, and polish updates. It does not include backend-only or staff-only changes.
We cleaned up the chat sidebar so it can collapse down to profile pictures when you want more room for messages.
From that same area, it is also easier to open profile and badge details for the people in the conversation without leaving the chat.
The support system now keeps web ticket replies and email replies together in the same conversation.
That means you can open a support ticket on the site, reply from your inbox if needed, and still keep the full history in one cleaner thread.
Pinned chats are no longer only something you manage from the chats page.
You can star chats you care about, turn on the home page widget in your settings, and keep your most important conversations one click away from the main dashboard.
We added attachment retention controls so chats can clean up older uploads without making important files impossible to keep.
You can now save important chat uploads forever, including from the chat gallery, and expired uploads stay represented in the conversation instead of disappearing with no explanation.
Instead of manually adding everyone one by one, group chat owners can now generate invite links for their chat.
Those links can expire after a chosen amount of time and can also be limited to a certain number of uses, which makes bringing people into a group much easier to manage.
Draft text now saves per conversation, so if you refresh or leave mid-message, your draft can come back when you return.
We also improved pinned-message access so important messages stay easy to revisit instead of getting buried in the chat history.
We added a personal view settings panel inside chats.
You can now decide whether other people can see your read receipts in that conversation, choose how long older messages stay visible for your own view, and in supported group chats pick your own bubble colors without changing the whole chat for everyone else.
Over the last stretch we refreshed multiple public systems across the site, including signup, account safety flows, homepage presentation, notifications, drawing tools, and friend features.
The goal was to make the public side of Flying Goose Studios feel cleaner, more polished, and easier to use.
We cleaned up several parts of the site to improve responsiveness and stability.
This includes backend improvements, queue handling fixes, and general polish that should help the site feel faster and more reliable overall.
We upgraded the chat composer so sharing files feels much faster.
You can now paste images and files from your clipboard, drag and drop attachments into chat, preview them, and then send them without having to go through the old add-files flow every time.
We updated chats so links inside messages can be opened directly instead of just sitting there as plain text.
That makes shared resources, websites, and references much easier to use during conversations.
We upgraded the draw tool with better color controls, brush sizing, an eraser, and a cleaner fullscreen experience.
The board also feels sharper and more polished overall, especially when expanded.
We refreshed the homepage countdown with a better layout, cleaner spacing, improved timer tiles, and a more polished overall look.
It now feels like part of the homepage instead of a plain utility block.
We redid the friend system so it no longer depends on hunting people down through the users page.
Each account now has a friend code, plus a shareable link and QR code flow, making friend requests much faster and easier to use.
We updated both the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy so the public-facing rules and privacy details better match how Flying Goose Studios works today.
This includes newer account, safety, and data-handling expectations.
We added a proper parent consent system for younger users.
That includes the parent consent form, parent email approval flow, manual review before approval, and a child completion step after approval is granted.
We gave Moments a proper modern pass with a cleaner hero, better feed cards, a more polished posting panel, and stronger spacing throughout the page.
The goal was to make browsing and posting moments feel like part of the newer Flying Goose Studios design language instead of an older leftover screen.
Recent Updates now tracks actual Flying Goose Studios product changes instead of acting like a copy of announcements.
That means this page is for feature updates, redesigns, and system improvements that regular users should know about.
We tightened the hero, improved spacing, added better live stats, and cleaned up the layout so the front page feels more intentional.
The goal was to make the first impression faster to understand and nicer to use.
We rebuilt the badge experience to feel more like a real collection system.
That includes better categories, improved earning paths, cleaner claiming behavior, and a more polished marketplace flow.
